Chiropractic Adjustments
Chiropractic adjustment or joint manipulation is a technique that involves adding motion to a joint that is fixated. Manipulations can be applied to restricted joint segments to the back, neck, shoulders, and other parts of the body, such as hands and ankles. Joint manipulation is performed with a gentle and quick thrust to restore optimal motion as well as increase neurological input to the body. Used in conjunction with soft tissue therapies and exercise, adjustments are one of the most effective procedures for musculoskeletal pain relief.

Active Release Technique
Active Release Technique or ART is a non-invasive, gold standard treatment system that is designed to locate and quickly resolve soft tissue disorders. It can be used to treat injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. ART is a movement-based manual therapy technique used to treat repetitive overuse injuries, sprains, and strains. Each protocol combines precise touch with specific patient movements to restore proper function and relieve pain.

Soft Tissue Therapy
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization or IASTM refers to the use of a stainless steel tool to help restore proper motion to soft tissue structures. This is done by scraping along the muscle belly or even across tendons and ligaments. At HRP we perform IASTM differently from most other providers by adding active movement from the patient as the procedure is being completed. This technique can be used to treat fascial restrictions, soft tissue fibrosis, or chronic inflammation.

Functional Rehabilitation
Exercises and movement are one of our most effective way to get you out of pain and back to doing what you love. At the end of the day, HRP is a movement, performance-based clinic so this plays a big role when we develop treatment plans. Exercises can include Dynamic Neuromuscular Stability (DNS), McKenzie Method (MDT), or strength and conditioning principles. Each exercise rehabilitation program will be personalized for each individual based on their specific condition and outcome goals. We find that rehabilitation therapy and chiropractic care work well together and provide a quicker, safer recovery.

Dry Needling
Dry Needling is primarily focused on the reduction of pain and restoration of function through the release of myofascial trigger points in the muscle. Generally, this technique is painless for most. The needles used are thin and sharp, and as a result, you will not feel much. You will experience a twitching sensation, and your muscles will feel sore over the next day or two, similar to how you would feel after a workout. This is a great technique as part of a larger treatment plan including other services like exercises and adjustments.

Youth Athletic Devlopment
Our athletic development training programs focus on the development of the physical qualities that underpin all sports and are essential for optimizing sports performance while reducing injury rates. Students develop qualities such as speed, strength, mobility/stability, endurance, agility, and coordination. Depending on the age and training history of the athlete we would start with general movement preparedness and progress to more advanced exercise programs.

Performance Care
Our performance care is great for the active individual or athlete who doesn’t necessarily have any current pain but wants to work on certain mobility or strength deficits. This program is great for golfers, runners, or avid gym-goers that want a personalized and specific exercise program that will take their performance to the next level. Whether that be hitting further on the golf course, improving club speed, or simply optimizing your running mechanics, this program is meant to help find any physical restrictions to your game.
