Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?

The fastest and most convenient way to schedule an appointment is through our online scheduling platform here. Just simply fill out the basic patient information to create an account and this will immediately put you on the schedule.

What should I expect on the first day?

Fill out the intake forms which will be sent to you shortly after scheduling an appointment via the online platform. We are located inside the beautiful facility of Empower Physical Therapy. Once you arrive at the clinic a thorough examination and movement assessment will be completed to determine your specific condition. Then a personalized care plan will be determined based on your specific condition and personal goals from treatment.

Do you take insurance?

We are out-of-network with all major health insurance plans, except Medicare Part B. We chose this model for our office so we could have complete freedom to structure treatments however is best fit for the patient without having to worry about inconsistencies or limitations within different insurance plans/coverages. Due to restrictions placed by insurance companies, most patients going to traditional insurance-based chiropractic clinics are receiving less individual care and are often seen with appointments no longer than 10 minutes. We spend more than double this time in each session and combine other services like soft tissue treatment, exercise programming, and rehab exercise. At HRP you are only working with a chiropractor throughout the entirety of each visit and will never be passed on to aides or students. Patients receive less one-on-one time with their therapist and are often discharged before reaching their goals. Oftentimes our cash rates end up being very comparable, or even cheaper, than insurance rates (click here for more information)! Upon request, if you wish to submit to your insurance yourself, we are more than happy to provide you with a “superbill”. This is an insurance receipt that will have specific codes on it that tells the company what services were provided. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be able to get reimbursed for your visit or get the amount counted toward your deductible. In addition, we do accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) cards. We value transparency, so our prices are flat rates that are consistent with each appointment, regardless of the services provided.

What makes Hybrid Rehab and Performance different from any other chiropractic office?

At Hybrid Rehab and Performance we use a specific, proven blend of modern chiropractic, performance therapy, and sports medicine to treat your injuries in the fastest, most effective way possible. The truth is that most chiropractors do about 10% of what we do at HRP. We consider ourselves a HYBRID trying to bridge the gap between rehab and performance. This core value is what sets us apart from most clinics in the Tampa area because we focus on ensuring long-lasting change in your health. We do this by empowering, educating, and enabling the patient right from the first appointment.

What if I don’t want to be adjusted, do I have to be?

No! You are not alone in this. A manual adjustment is never something we HAVE to do if it is outside your comfort level. While the adjustment or joint manipulation is completely safe, we understand and have many other techniques and protocols that we can use to get the results that you need. There are plenty of other ways to treat your complaint other than the manual adjustment (i.e., instrument-assisted low force adjustments, soft tissue modalities, and various exercises & stretches. This appointment is for YOU, so your preferences and past experiences will play a role in how we treat you.
